Whenever I opened some pdf file and scrolled with the mouse the scrolling was per one page. I have to continuously change it. Can you please help? It has been my problem in many many years and it frustrates me a lot. I am so grateful that finally I found the solution here, thank you so much. One minor thing seems to have changed since you wrote this post though, the edit tab no longer leads to preferences, the Adobe Reader tab does.

And Voila, now your arrow keys do continuous scrolling! Do i have to go an accessibility preference page to enable page scrolling?

Adobe should be ashamed to produce something like this. That has annoyed me for a long time. This option is not available on the Android app unless you subscribe. I learned this only after granting access to my Drive. I find this misleading. I think this app does its job. I have had to uninstall it regularly to restore speed on opening large files, and lately that doesn’t help. I have a manual that is MB and pages. It takes 12 seconds to open and 8 seconds for the contents to show. Then added time up to 12 seconds to display new pages. I can open it in Google drive, it takes 10 seconds to scroll to the bottom, then instantly displays any page in the book.

Unfortunately it doesn’t support bookmarks. Years of this behavior. I use this app frequently for reviewing construction documents and drawings. It’s always served me well, as it is significantly more stable than viewing with a browser, especially with large files. I would like to see the ability to add folders built into the app. Despite the configuration of a page mode in Adobe Acrobat DC and Acrobat Reader DC which always scrolls by default, you will still want to change the page mode while actively viewing certain PDF documents.

Again, this may end up disabling continuous scrolling. However, you can solve the problem to a certain extent by placing dedicated shortcuts that will allow the scrolling of Fit One Full Page, Single Page View or Two Page View page modes directly on the Acrobat user interface.

Start by right-clicking an empty area on the Acrobat toolbar. In the context menu that appears, point to Page display tools, then select Activate scrolling and two-page scrolling. This should put two dedicated icons that you can easily use to switch to View One Page or View Two Pages with scrolling enabled.

You can also use the Single page view shortcut to enable continuous scrolling after using the Fit an entire page option. Open the Help menu, then click Check for Updates. This should re-enable continuous scrolling.

Overriding the default page settings in Adobe Acrobat DC and Acrobat Reader DC should help you avoid having to switch page modes manually with scrolling enabled at all times. Also putting some dedicated icons that allow scrolling for your preferred page display mode should work wonders.

This is a terrible user interface design implementation that you should seriously consider permanently deleting to do any serious work. Find out how these two PDF editors compare.
