Keyboard shortcuts for zooming will now work while images are being opened. In the app’s settings, you’ll now find the option to turn the filmstrip on and off.

Fullscreen viewing will now be preserved after rotating your device. The position of the canvas would be incorrect after device rotation. Occasionally, images would be exported with a white stripe. Images would be exported with a transparent stripe on devices with Super Retina displays.

When working on images in the Files browser, progress indicators would not be removed. Workflow actions were incorrectly enabled for photos that were still being loaded. Crop presets and filmstrip thumbnails will now be centered if they don’t fill the entire screen. Keyboard shortcuts for selecting crop modes and crop aspect ratio would not work correctly. After editing several images in a row, the wrong image would be selected in the filmstrip.

When opening an image from Quick Preview, the Photos browser would remain in image selection mode. Image thumbnails in the Photos browser would sometimes be displayed incorrectly. Shortcut menus in the Photos browser would be shown even if no actions were available.

When selecting a different album while scrolling, the scroll position of the opened album would be incorrect. The layout of color adjustments presets would be incorrect if the filmstrip was hidden.

Thanks for fixing the issues with selection editing with the keyboard too! As some of the other reviews mentioned, the UI is definitely a little clunky especially on big iPad screens—especially the two modal screens you have to go through to choose a specific brush or selection type. Would love to have a tool sidebar kind of like the desktop Pixelmator app!

A nice little bonus would be to have enhanced pointer shapes with brushes, erasers, etc. What if we had bigger pointers for larger brush sizes? Maybe a crosshair for more precise sizes? How about a unique pointer shape for the pixel brush tool, which also has pointer snapping to each pixel for even more precision? So many possibilities to make this a really unique experience for the iPad.

It would also be nice to have support for multiple windows to make working with multiple docs at the same time easier. As a graphic designer I need to do things on the fly and find myself frustrated with the features this app lacks. Many times I jump to this app to quickly put something together as a semi mock-up for clients.

Simple features the app lacks are essential to anyone who does graphic work. The distortion features in the app are pretty worthless imo. If I have a logo and need to add simple text I am unable to skew or italicize the text to fit image angles properly. There needs to be a angle or skew tab in there to angle the text slant in a positive or negative direction. My second major issue is the same thing with images or object layers.

There should be a free transform option or a skew or slant feature to grab individual points of an object to allow for easy manipulation. If the app had those two features added I would give it 5 stars. There are some great features. But the app itself is very limiting with essential functions that limit the user. Privacy practices may vary, for example, based on the features you use or your age.
